Committee for teaching Iranian Arts (Film and cinema section) of Ziba Foundation proudly announces the first International Short Film Festival in October 2007 in New York, by cooperation of Mr. Bahman Maghsoudlou, the head of International Film and Video Center, artist, author, editor, reporter, critic, lecturer and the best historian of Iranian film who is known worldwide.

The preliminary works that have been executed are as follows:
1. Set up of a special site for the festival (NYISFF) which is open to interested parties.
2. The Asian Society has conveyed its interest in cooperating with the Festival and we will give you more details about this issue in near future.
3. Festival’s posters have been produced and will be available in major Iranian and American centers.
It is interesting to know that although the Festival will happen in October, a lot of interests have already been shown to it by many film and cinema fans from all over the world. This shows the depth of interests that people have in the positive and constructive programs about the Iranian culture.

Mr. Bahman Maghsoudlou is responsible for all film and cinema affairs of the festival while Ziba Foundation has the responsibility of its administration and financial activities.
